Here’s the average lifespan of different roofing types (note that the duration will vary depending on installation and maintenance quality):

• Asphalt shingle roof: 15 to 25 years
• Asphalt and gravel roof: 15 to 20 years
• Elastomer membrane roof (modified bitumen): 15 to 20 years
• Copper/slate roof: up to 100 years
• Metal roof (galvanized sheet metal): 50 to 60 years

Note that after 10 years, you need to be a lot more attentive to any signs of wear. You should check for certain things like missing, rolled up or damaged shingles. You should also check whether there are a lot of shingle granules in your gutters.
